About

Hi, I’m Kathryn!

I’m an accessibility consultant, educator, advocate, and ally, passionate about helping organizations create dignified and inclusive spaces, programs, and experiences, and individuals/families access community services to the fullest.

I did my Bachelor’s degree in Community Development and Philosophy at Western University in London Ontario and my Master of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University in St. Catharines Ontario.  Outside of my formal education, I have a certificate in Accessibility Consulting from Brock University, my Instructional Skills Workshop facilitator certificate, two certifications in therapeutic horseback riding, my Licensed Coach status from Equestrian Canada, and much more.

My Work

My work in accessibility has grown from years of hands-on experience supporting community members, developing and delivering inclusive programming, educating staff and volunteers, and working alongside individuals, families, and organizations to identify and remove barriers.

I believe accessibility is about more than meeting requirements or checking boxes. It’s about looking at the way people actually experience a space, service, program, or organization—and asking how we can make that experience more inclusive, equitable, and user-friendly for everyone.

Through my consulting work, I help businesses and organizations better understand accessibility, identify barriers, strengthen inclusive practices, and turn good intentions into practical action. My approach is collaborative, realistic, and grounded in the understanding that accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time task.

Through my 1:1 support, I work with individuals and families to assist with service navigation, respite services, and life skill development.  My approach is patient, realistic, and rooted in providing dignified 1:1 support that meets individuals and families where they are at.

Whether I’m reviewing a physical space, facilitating accessibility training, supporting program development, or acting as an ally to an individual/family, my goal is to make accessibility feel approachable and achievable.
